Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by
MckMama. You can head over to
her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week.
Here we go with my second attempt at confessing what I did not do this week.
I did not offer a small shout of glee this week when Cara was named the Good Citizen for her class for this nine weeks at the school's Awards Day. No, that was not my voice heard followed by laughter from others as I grabbed my camera quickly and proceeded to leap over the feet of two other parents so I could get a picture of Cara with her certificate. Nope, that wasn't me.
No, that wasn't me who could be heard right before Cara won the previously mentioned award whispering to a friend of mine that I was not going to make her an award at home just because her sister had received one and she was probably not. Nope, not me, because that would be cruel to teach a five year old that life has some hard knocks.
I did not win at least a couple of rounds of Candy Land while playing against my darling sweet three year old son. Nope, not me. Of course, I let him win every hand instead of being a terminator.
I also did not proceed to win a couple of hands of "making cookies" while playing with Cara and Jonah. What kind of mother dominates kids' games anyway? Not me, of course.
I was not heard this week telling my husband to get his own blog when he happened to mention he liked the old look better than the new one. Nope, not me.
That was not me who was talking back to a character on a T.V. like they could really hear me. Nope, not me.
I was not the one who went over our grocery budget money this week. And, I am most certainly not the one who convinced her husband that we needed to eat out several times this week after thinking we had plenty to eat at home.
I was not the mother who almost cried at the quietness in the house when Adriana went to her second sleepover. And, I most certainly did not agree with Bruce to go get her as soon as the day broke.
I am so glad that I did not do these and other things this week.
